GREA Defence is part of GREA and deals with Women Empowerment and Selfdefence.

Women are not used to fight and often don’t want to have anything to do with martial arts, therefore they don’t practise Krav Maga, because they think it’s the same. It is not! We can come up with 100 excuses why we shouldn’t train selfdefence (it’s to intense, it makes me sweat, it hurts, it’s so agressive and I am a pacifist, etc.etc.) and forget about the most important reason why we should train!!

To be able to protect yourself when no one else is there to do it for you!

Women Empowerment
Has to do with taking controle of your own life on economical/social/cultural/political level.
Here  Women Empowerment means: Recognising, cultivating and using your own strengths, by working at your physical strength you will develop your self-confidence and awareness. "Tools" which might be useful in daily life under all sorts of circumstances

Women Selfdefence
Krav Maga is a selfdefence system which allows you to use all “tools” necessary in order to defend yourself as long as proportionally acted in selfdefence.

As a krav maga instructeur and a believer of the system, I would like to have more women training Krav Maga/ Selfdefence. Just because I believe that women, as one of the most vulnerable groups of our society, should be able to defend themselves, either verbally or physically.

Mission:  Offering women a choice to take control of their own safety and life in any given situation .

Krav maga is perfect for women and is worldwide regarded the best system for women to learn and use. It is based on your natural reaction and reflexes, which makes it easy to learn, it is efficiënt, effective and uses real life situations to train.

As a krav maga student I remember the bruises, the body work-outs and the physical contact with male students. A training can be intense and sometimes you train under a high stress-level for e.g. with weapons, multiple attackers and/or different attacks. However attackers will be male in 70-80% of a ( life-) threatening situation, so training with man will teach you more about your own strength and skills AND his vulnerable points.

GREA Defence

-              Offers selfdefence introduction workshops and short courses to make selfdefence more accessible.
-              The program is developed so all women, long, short, strong, young or of age, etc. can join.

sometimes assisted by a male instructor.

-              Training will be in a controlled and safe environment.
-              You can and probably will get bruised, you will work-out and sweat .
-              But you will also have a lot of fun!

Why should you sign in?
